Job summary

VIP Tires & Service is seeking a Master Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles while prioritizing safety and quality. You will follow VIP processes, complete ASE certifications, and participate in ongoing training.

The role requires coordinating with the Service Desk for parts, maintaining service orders, and upholding safety and regulatory standards. The position emphasizes teamwork, accuracy, and customer-focused service as part of delivering an exceptional in-shop experience.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience in automotive service field.
• Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended.
• ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended; A4 – Suspension & Steering; A5 – Brakes.
• State Inspection License is required to become Licensed State Vehicle Inspector.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize workplace safety as the top priority and complete safety training.
• Provide diagnosis, repair, and maintenance services for automotive systems.
• Maintain productivity targets (50%+).
• Initiate and display a valid Service Work Order before service; ensure MPI is completed.
• Order parts from the Desk Team and return unused parts after service.
• Return cores, batteries and used tires to designated areas.
• Adhere to VIP quality policies and complete required training/certifications.
• Participate in team meetings and assist the Service Manager to maintain shop safety and operations.
