Job summary

VIP, Inc. is seeking a Flat Rate Technician to diagnose and repair automotive systems, including engine, transmission, brakes, electrical, and A/C, while upholding VIP safety and quality standards. You will participate in training, complete ASE certifications, and ensure work is performed correctly the first time.

The role requires safe handling of vehicles, proper documentation, and adherence to company policies. Work is performed in a shop environment with a standard 5-day, 40-hour work week.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience in automotive service.
• Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure workplace safety is Priority #1, follow safety policies, and report hazards.
• Provide automotive systems diagnosis, repair, and maintenance per ASE areas.
• Initiate Service Work Orders and MPI before service; display them with vehicle.
• Request needed parts from Desk Team and return unused parts after service.
• Maintain a minimum 16-week average productivity per position tiers.
• Follow VIP quality service standards and complete required training and certifications.
• Road test vehicles after service to verify safe operation.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and proper tool/equipment organization.
• Adhere to safety, waste disposal, and regulatory requirements.
