Job summary

Transdev in Wilmington, DE seeks a Light Duty Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines across vehicles and equipment. You will assist senior mechanics and perform routine maintenance to ensure safety and reliability.

Ideal candidates have ASE certifications and a mechanic’s tool set, with the ability to work flexible shifts. DOT testing may be required where applicable; a comprehensive benefits package accompanies this role.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided.
• Mechanic’s Tool Set.
• Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and replacements on diesel engines.
• Assist A-Level and B-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks.
• Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize diesel engine performance.
• Lead diagnostic tests to identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for diesel engines.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on diesel engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components.
• Other duties as required.
