Job summary

EnviroTech Services is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to maintain, diagnose, and repair diesel-powered fleet vehicles. You will ensure safe operation, perform preventive maintenance, and document repairs in detail to support regulatory compliance.

The role requires hands-on mechanical skills, FMCSA certifications, a Class A CDL, and ASE credentials. Expect travel up to 30% with potential for evenings or weekend hours as needed. Competitive hourly base pay and benefits available.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in diesel technology or equivalent
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a mechanic in a shop or fleet maintenance environment
• Valid Class A CDL and acceptable MVR
• FMCSA-required certifications for fleet mechanics
• Brake Inspector, Annual Inspector
• T Series ASE Certifications preferred
• Proficiency with diagnostic software, service manuals, and technical publications
• Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on fleet vehicles
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to FMCSA/DOT standards
• Repair fleet vehicles in compliance with OSHA and safety requirements
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and document repairs
• Recordkeeping and communication of vehicle issues and solutions
• Provide on-site and field support including roadside and offsite repairs
• Assist in installing parts and upgrading equipment with third-party coordination
• Collaborate with plant operations and fleet teams for improvements
