Job summary

VIP is seeking an ASE Technician in Rockland, ME to diagnose, repair, and service vehicles to VIP standards. The role is non-exempt hourly and emphasizes safety, quality, and customer service with strong teamwork across the shop.

Responsibilities include diagnosing automotive systems, ensuring proper work orders, and supporting the 5-for-5 customer engagement process while upholding VIP safety and training requirements.

Qualifications

• Read, analyze, and interpret technical instructions, journal and procedures.
• Explain vehicle information clearly to customers and coworkers.
• Diagnose and recommend solutions to basic automotive problems.
• Interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions.
• Able to perform the automotive services listed in the role.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostics, repair, and maintenance for automotive systems.
• Ensure a valid Service Work Order is initiated before service and displayed with the vehicle.
• Complete MPI and support the 5-for-5 Customer Engagement process.
• Return unused parts to the Desk Team after service completion.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area and proper handling of cores and waste.
