Job summary

Pep Boys Inc. is hiring a Master Technician to diagnose drivability, A/C and electrical systems and to mentor a shop team. You will interact with customers, explain problems and proposed solutions, and drive quality service through teamwork and ongoing training.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive repair experience, ASE certifications, and a customer-focused attitude. Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of automotive diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experience.
• 8+ ASE certifications (A1–A8) preferred.
• Section 609 Certification required.
• State Inspection license if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications across brakes, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension, air conditioning and electronics.
• Perform duties of Technicians A, B, Mechanic and General Service Technician as needed.
• Explain diagnoses and repairs to customers and staff in clear terms.
• Continuously learn new automotive techniques in formal training sessions.
• Assist fellow technicians and keep management informed of repair problems.
• Maintain an organized shop and adhere to safety policies.
