Job summary

Qualifications

• IEP development, placement, least restrictive environment, accommodations, modifications, and assistive technology.
• Assess students using academic, behavioral, functional, social-emotional, and communication measures.
• Think diagnostically and analytically about student performance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and conduct evaluations.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments and IEP goal development.
• Educate parents regarding provision of services.
• Provide research-based specialized instruction per IEP.
• Collaborate with families, other service providers, and community agencies.
• Prepare schedules of individualized and small group activities.
• Supervise and guide classroom Teaching Assistants.
• Maintain classroom behavior management.
• Monitor student progress and learning environment.
• Utilize varied instructional materials and techniques.
• Plan continuous evaluation of student progress.
• Coordinate services to maximize learning opportunities.
• Attend meetings (IEP, conferences, parent meetings, in-services).
