Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Special Education Teacher for a long-term substitute position in the White Bear Lake, MN area. This in-person, full-time role focuses on a center-based DCD/ASD classroom, collaborating with a team of teachers and therapists.

The candidate will develop and implement IEP goals and therapy plans, participate in IEP meetings, and maintain accurate records while supporting student progress and skill carryover within a supportive, provider-led environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or related field.
• Active Minnesota Special Education Teacher license through PELSB.
• District open to sponsoring out-of-permission licensure if needed.
• Previous classroom experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create an inclusive classroom setting for all learners.
• Develop and implement IEP goals and therapy plans.
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with school teams.
• Partner with teachers and families to support carryover of skills.
• Maintain timely documentation, progress notes, and compliance records.
• Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
