Job summary

Adelbrook Clinician role provides therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults with ASD/IDD in residential and community settings. You will deliver individual, group, and family therapy, develop treatment plans, and conduct psychosocial assessments to support person-centered care.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
  • Clinical license or license-eligibility preferred (e.g., LMSW, LMFTA, LPC-A).
  • Two or more years of experience working with children, adolescents, or young adults in behavioral health or direct care settings preferred.
  • Experience supporting individuals with autism and/or IDD is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and maintaining professional documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in intake and admission processes, including clinical screenings and coordination with internal teams.
  • Complete psychosocial assessments and develop individualized, strengths‑based treatment plans.
  • Deliver developmentally appropriate, trauma‑informed therapy services to individuals and their families.
  • Collaborate with residential, educational, medical, and community‑based staff to ensure consistent implementation of treatment strategies.
  • Facilitate treatment team meetings and participate in clinical and administrative reviews.
  • Maintain timely, accurate documentation including assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
  • Act as the clinical point of contact for families/guardians, schools, and external agencies.
  • Support implementation of behavior plans and provide consultation to direct care staff.
  • Participate in discharge planning and coordination of follow‑up services.
  • Provide clinical coverage during assigned on‑call shifts.
  • Maintain compliance with licensing, accreditation, and documentation standards.
  • Contribute to staff training and development initiatives as needed.
  • Uphold professional, ethical, and trauma‑informed practices in all interactions.
  • Maintain active certification in agency‑approved crisis intervention training, including all required levels of Physical and Psychological Management Training (PMT). Apply training techniques appropriately to ensure the safety and well‑being of individuals served, staff, and others in the environment. Demonstrate competency in de‑escalation strategies, safe physical interventions, and adherence to agency protocols.
