Job summary

Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake, IA is seeking a Medical Technologist to join our laboratory team. This role will interact with the existing technologists and contribute toward accurate test performance and timely reporting of results.

Ideal candidates hold an associate or bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science or medical technology, and board certification; hospital experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science/medical technology required.
• Board certification by ASCP/HEW or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for specimen collection and processing, test performance, and reporting of laboratory test results.
• Follows the laboratory's procedures for specimen collection and processing, timely test analysis, and maintaining records of patient test results.
• Performs proficiency testing and maintains records that demonstrate they are handled in the same manner as patient samples.

Education
