Job summary

River's Edge Hospital in Saint Peter, MN is seeking a part-time Laboratory Technologist (MLT/MLS) for overnight and evening shifts. The role requires ASCP-certified professionals with an associate degree in medical laboratory technology or medical laboratory science.

You will perform waived to high-complexity tests, participate in QA, and ensure specimen handling accuracy. Salary is base pay $28.37–$45.39 per hour with a $15,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in medical laboratory technology or medical laboratory science.
• ASCP or equivalent certification required; eligibility within one year of employment.
• BLS certification required or obtainable within six months.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic laboratory procedures to provide timely, accurate test results.
• Participate in quality assurance and adherence to lab policies.
• Communicate test results and requirements to providers and staff.
• Collect specimens (venipuncture, capillary, radial arterial) per procedures.
• Maintain records, handle specimens properly, and participate in proficiency testing.
• Work flexible shifts, including overnights, weekends, and holidays.
