Job summary

Cribl is seeking a Technical Revenue Manager to own ASC 606 policies for new offerings, author technical position papers, and lead cross-functional initiatives with product, sales, and legal. The role focuses on compliance, scalable revenue recognition, and SOX controls, with opportunities to influence policy and automation.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in technical revenue accounting, CPA credentials, and strong Excel/NetSuite/Salesforce experience, plus an interest in AI-enabled finance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Active CPA license.
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience with at least 2+ years of Technical Revenue experience.
• Deep ASC 606 expertise across multi-element, consumption-based, and hybrid arrangements.
• Experience with standalone selling price, performance obligation identification, variable consideration, and contract modifications.
• Strong technical accounting research and writing skills; able to point to position papers and policies authored.
• Judgment to identify drivers and reach defensible conclusions.
• Ability to influence without direct authority and explain concepts to non-accountants.
• Experience with revenue controls and SOX external audits.
• Advanced Excel, NetSuite and Salesforce familiarity.
• NetSuite ARM experience is a plus.
• Interest in applying AI and automation to finance operations.
• Public Accounting ASC 606 experience preferred.
• Exposure to M&A diligence or post-close revenue integration.
• Proficiency with generative AI tools to enhance productivity.

Responsibilities

• Cross-Functional Partnership and Policy Design with product, sales, legal, and deal desk for ASC 606 positions.
• Research, resolve, and write technical revenue position papers.
• Evaluate commercial structures and deployment models for proper accounting treatment.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives to scale revenue processes and drive policy automation.
• Serve as primary contact for revenue matters with external auditors and maintain SOX documentation.
• Support month-end and quarterly close and revenue flux analysis.
• Assist on ad hoc finance initiatives including M&A diligence and integration.
