Job summary

Eurofins Built Environment Testing in Emeryville, CA is seeking an Asbestos Analyst to perform bulk sample analysis using Polarizing Light Microscopy (PLM) for asbestos, in a QA-driven setting. The role requires data entry into LIMS, data review, and coordination of sample workloads to meet due dates.

The ideal candidate has 0–1+ years’ experience with PLM asbestos microscopy, a bachelor’s degree in a related science, and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• 0–1+ years of experience performing asbestos microscopy using PLM (PLM).
• Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biology, geology or a closely related science.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze aerobiological and environmental samples for asbestos.
• Enter and report analytical data using the LIMS.
• Perform data reviews for other analysts’ work.
• Maintain equipment and support QA processes as needed.
• Coordinate workload to meet due dates and sample hold times.
