Job summary
Eurofins Built Environment Testing in California seeks an Asbestos Analyst to perform PLM microscopy and environmental sample analysis for asbestos. The role requires careful data handling, reporting in the LIMS, and contributing to quality assurance programs.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in a related science, has 0–1+ years in PLM asbestos work, and can travel for training. Competitive hourly compensation is provided with full-time benefits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biology, geology or closely related science.
- 0-1+ years of asbestos PLM microscopy experience.
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without sponsorship.
- Professional working proficiency in English (reading, writing and speaking).
- Ability to travel for training.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze aerobiological and environmental samples for asbestos.
- Enter and report analytical data using the LIMS.
- Performs independent data reviews for other analysts’ work.
- Maintains and supports QA processes and documentation.
- Coordinate sample workload and due dates to ensure timely reporting.
