Job summary

The South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) seeks a Work Management Business Analyst to join the Office of Implementation and Support. This full-time role focuses on governance of the Asana platform, workflow design, process analysis, and adoption across the agency.

You’ll translate operational needs into structured workflows, build reporting infrastructure, and enable program offices with consistent project governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related area; experience may substitute for degree.
• Minimum two years of professional experience in business analysis, IT project coordination, workflow management, or process improvement.
• Experience with enterprise work management platforms (Asana, Jira, Smartsheet, etc.).
• Proficiency in documenting and communicating technical workflows to non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with IT governance in government context and Agile/Scrum delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain Asana workspace governance, naming conventions, templates, and access controls.
• Serve as Asana subject matter expert; address internal questions and ensure platform consistency.
• Lead audits to assess project health, template compliance, and adoption trends with actionable recommendations.
• Analyze and document business processes; identify opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve handoffs.
• Elicit business requirements and translate them into structured Asana workflows and reporting.
• Design, build, and refine Asana Forms and automation rules to standardize intake and routing.
