Job summary

Thresh Dance in New York seeks a highly organized Company/General Manager to lead live event production, arts administration, and operations. This freelance contractor role serves as the central operational hub, handling logistics, artist relations, and event execution with both administrative precision and hands-on agility.

The position is approximately 30 hours per month, with additional hours by approval.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in company/general management and arts administration.
• Proven ability to manage live event logistics from pre-planning to execution.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage complex schedules.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site event logistics for galas, workshops, and special engagements.
• Coordinate communications, load-in/load-out schedules, front-of-house operations, and audience management.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for venue staff, technical directors, vendor management, and catering during events.
• Maintain event accessibility, safety protocols, and emergency plans.
• Support hiring processes and onboarding of staff and interns.
