Job summary

You will steward donor relations, oversee budgeting, collaborate with a Board of Directors, and guide marketing, advocacy, and governance initiatives to strengthen the organization and its impact.

Qualifications

• Executive leadership experience at CEO/ED/President/MD level, preferably 6+ years.
• Fundraising and development with donor cultivation, major gifts, sponsorships and grants.
• Budget management, strategic planning and organizational sustainability expertise.
• Ability to partner effectively with a Board of Directors and external stakeholders.
• Strong soft skills: empathetic leadership, communication, integrity and judgment.

Responsibilities

• Lead organizational fundraising: cultivate donors, secure grants, manage sponsorships.
• Oversee budgeting, financial planning and long-term strategies for growth.
• Manage community relations and act as organizational ambassador.
• Develop and implement strategic plans with the Board of Directors.
• Oversee marketing, branding and communications strategies.
• Support daily operations: facilities, staff evaluations, compliance.
• Lead and support staff and contractors to achieve goals.
• Build relationships with arts groups, government entities, stakeholders.
• Collaborate on legislative advocacy affecting the arts sector.
• Participate in governance activities and board development.
