Job summary

Qualifications

• 15+ years of leadership in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations.
• 5+ years in senior executive roles leading multi-functional teams.
• Experience turning strategy into operating plans with KPIs and dashboards.
• Proven ability to implement HR, performance management, and culture systems.
• Strong budgeting and forecasting experience without owning financial functions.

Responsibilities

• Translate strategy into annual plans, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
• Establish organization-wide operating cadences (weekly, monthly, quarterly).
• Oversee HR operations including recruiting, onboarding, benefits, policies, and performance management.
• Lead enterprise-wide systems, workflows, and process improvements.
• Spearhead projects such as office relocation and facilities management.
• Develop dashboards, KPIs, and reporting tools for leadership and Board.
• Partner with executive leadership to align departmental goals and cross-functional initiatives.
• Support technology adoption, system integrations, and data governance.
• Collaborate with CEO and senior team to improve internal execution capacity.
• Manage vendor and contract administration outside of financial controls.
• Ensure compliance, risk management, and operational excellence across departments.

NextPath Workforce Solutions is currently seeking a Chief Operating Officer - Non Profit to join our client’s team in Orlando, FL. This is an Onsite, Direct Hire position.

SALARY: $175,000 - $225,000 (depending on experience)

REQUIREMENTS:

• 15+ years of progressive leadership in nonprofit, civic, cultural, philanthropic, education, public-sector, or mission-driven organizations
• 5+ years in senior executive or management roles leading multi-functional teams and complex operations
• Proven experience translating strategy into operating plans, dashboards, KPIs, and measurable results
• Demonstrated success building or enhancing HR, performance management, employee relations, onboarding, compliance, and culture systems
• Strong financial acumen with experience partnering on budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation, without ownership of financial functions
