Job summary

The Yale-China Association is growing and seeks to hire a Program Officer to support their Arts and Education Programs, based at their headquarters on the Yale University campus in New Haven, Connecticut. This is a full-time, in-person position in their New Haven office.

Reporting to the Deputy Director of Education Programs and the Head of Arts Initiatives, the Program Officer works to support and help implement current and new Yale-China programs mainly in the fields of arts and education in

Qualifications

• One to three years of work experience in nonprofits and/or arts or education.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
• Chinese language skills preferred for professional use.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Salesforce.

Responsibilities

• Support recruitment and selection of program participants.
• Coordinate participant travel and visa applications.
• Serve as host for Artist Fellows during their residency.
• Write and prepare program reports, briefs, and presentations.
• Prepare financial materials for budgets, grants, and reports.
• Create and update program content for social media, website, and promotional materials.
• Organize meetings and travel plans for events with partners in the US, China, and New Haven.
• Support other Yale-China activities as needed.
