Job summary

Yale Center for British Art in New Haven seeks an Educator for secondary school, college, and university audiences. The role develops partnerships with area schools and universities, expanding curricular visits and object-based learning.

You will mentor students and staff, integrate collections into teaching, and help design programs that foster curiosity and education across disciplines. This is a fixed-term, on-site position with competitive salary.

  • Experience and expertise in high school/college teaching in art & related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Develop reciprocal relationships between YCBA and Greater New Haven community.
  • Promote diversity and inclusion in programming and teaching.
  • Integrate YCBA collections into cross-disciplinary teaching.
  • Oversee new and existing programs for community engagement with art.
  • Cultivate partnerships with high schools, colleges, and universities in New Haven.
  • Represent YCBA in museum communities to share collaborations.
  • Supervise fellows and interns when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
