Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Minnetonka is seeking a Meat Cutter to cut, prepare, and merchandize meat products while delivering exceptional customer service. You will help run a clean, safe, and efficient department, mentor trainees, and support store programs and health standards.

You will work with a team in a fast-paced environment, following procedures and ensuring quality and freshness of products, with a focus on customer satisfaction and responsible handling. Flexibility for shifts is required.

Qualifications

• 14+ months retail experience.
• Completed WFM Butcher Apprentice Program or equivalent training program.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, platters, and merchandises products.
• Prepares specialty meat merchandise (sausage, oven-ready, cured meats).
• Checks product to meet WFM quality standards.
• Maintains sampling program.
• Monitors and assists in preventing spoilage.
• Mentors Meat Cutter Trainee(s).
• Provides excellent customer service and assists customers promptly.
• Maximizes sales through proper prep, storage, and merchandising.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures accurate pricing.
