Job summary

Eataly’s 24-hour operating bakery is hiring a Bread Baker to produce delicious bread and focaccia using authentic Italian recipes. You will report to the Bakery Manager and prepare breads for restaurants and retail operations, following proper proofing and baking techniques.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean production area, mastering all shifts, assisting Sales Associates, and engaging guests about bread production. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of baker preparation experience.
• Basic math and measuring skills.
• Post-secondary culinary program preferred.
• Good work ethic, communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bread, focaccia, rolls and other bread items for Eataly’s restaurants and retail operations.
• Follow proper proofing and baking techniques for each variety of bread.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary food production area according to Department of Health standards.
• Work towards mastering all shifts and production processes.
• Assist Sales Associates and engage with guests learning about bread production.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.
