Whole Foods Market is seeking a Bakery Decorator to create and decorate cakes, tarts, pastries, and special-order items. You will apply artistic skills to finish high-quality bakery goods while upholding our standards and core values.

You will lead decorating projects, support Apprentices, and ensure exceptional customer service. The role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strict safety and quality controls.

Qualifications

• Efficient cake and pastry decorating skills with intermediate piping techniques.
• Understanding color theory for buttercream and palettes.
• Knowledge of icings including Swiss and American buttercream, ganache, and meringues.
• Ability to follow recipes and maintain organization and time management.
• Strong attention to food safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fill, and finish/decorate cakes and pastries as per orders.
• Build, ice, and decorate cakes following standard procedures and maintain production records.
• Prioritize production lists and adjust as needed to meet demand.
• Merchandise products and ensure display quality and freshness.
• Provide guidance to Bakery Decorator Apprentices and team members.
