Job summary

Safeway in Annapolis, MD is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Baker to prepare breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts from established recipes. You’ll measure, mix, shape, bake, and decorate items while maintaining high quality and consistency.

You’ll also keep a clean workspace, rotate and label ingredients, assist customers with questions, take special orders, and help create a positive experience through efficient service in a fast-paced bakery.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Prior baking or food production experience preferred.
• Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong customer service mindset and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts using established recipes and production methods.
• Measure, mix, shape, and bake products; decorate items such as cakes and specialty desserts.
• Organize and maintain a clean, safe work area; rotate and label ingredients; keep cases well-stocked and visually appealing.
• Assist customers with product questions, take special orders, and help create a positive service experience in a fast-paced environment.
