Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking qualified personnel to join as a Cannon Crewmember, delivering artillery and learning high-tech weapons systems under military training. You will start with Basic Training and move into Advanced Individual Training, building leadership and strategic thinking for civilian workforce needs.

You will receive paid training, a monthly paycheck, and access to tuition assistance, with opportunities for growth and retirement benefits during part-time service.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a physical exam.
• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Must be between ages 17 and 35.

Responsibilities

• Conduct wire and radio communications.
• Identify target locations.
• Set, load, and fire artillery.
• Use computers to generate fire direction data.
• Operate heavy and light wheeled trucks and tracked vehicles.
• Transport and manage artillery ammunition.
• Maintain operational readiness of vehicles and equipment.
• Participate in reconnaissance operations.
