Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Cannon Crewmember to join a trained team delivering artillery support and operating high-tech cannon systems. You will learn and perform tasks from target identification to firing data, while advancing leadership and tactical skills in a civilian-friendly National Guard framework.

Training includes Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training, with benefits such as tuition assistance and a regular paycheck during service.

Qualifications

• Physically and mentally fit to perform under pressure.
• Ability to make quick decisions while under stress.
• Capable of working as a team member and following orders.

Responsibilities

• Conducting wire and radio communications.
• Identifying target locations and preparing firing data.
• Setting, loading, and firing artillery; operating vehicles and ammunition handling.
• Using computers to generate fire direction data and ensure accuracy.
• Participating in reconnaissance operations and maintaining equipment readiness.
