Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Cannon Crewmember to join a team that delivers decisive artillery support, learns high-tech systems, and advances in responsibilities with experience. You will gain leadership and strategic thinking skills while serving part-time and earning a paycheck.

Training includes Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training, followed by ongoing drills, education benefits, and retirement options for part-time service; you’ll work with a mission-driven unit in support

Qualifications

• Capable of working as a team member.

Responsibilities

• Conducting wire and radio communications.
• Identifying target locations.
• Setting, loading, and firing artillery.
• Using computers to generate fire direction data.
• Operating heavy and light wheeled trucks and tracked vehicles.
• Transporting and managing artillery ammunition.
• Maintaining operational readiness of vehicles and equipment.
• Participate in reconnaissance operations.
