Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Cannon Crewmember to join a team delivering artillery support and maintaining readiness. You will operate howitzers, perform target location tasks, and coordinate fire data using advanced systems.

As you grow in the role, you may supervise other crewmembers, manage ammunition distribution, and contribute to training and maintenance tasks within a disciplined military environment.

Qualifications

• Must be physically and mentally fit to perform under pressure.
• Ability to make quick decisions in dynamic environments.
• Capable of working effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct wire and radio communications.
• Identify target locations.
• Set, load, and fire artillery.
• Use computers to generate fire direction data.
• Operate heavy and light wheeled trucks and tracked vehicles.
• Transport and manage artillery ammunition.
• Maintain operational readiness of vehicles and equipment.
• Participate in reconnaissance operations.
