Job summary

Army National Guard is seeking a Cannon Crewmember. You will join a team responsible for artillery operations, including loading, targeting, and firing howitzers, while learning advanced artillery systems and tactics.

As you gain experience, you may supervise others in ammunition distribution, cannon operations, training, and maintenance, contributing to mission readiness and defense objectives.

Qualifications

• Must be physically and mentally fit to perform under pressure.
• Able to make quick, accurate decisions in dynamic situations.
• Capable of working well in a team environment and following orders.

Responsibilities

• Conducting wire and radio communications.
• Identifying target locations for artillery.
• Setting, loading, and firing artillery under supervision.
• Using fire-control data to generate accurate firing solutions.
• Operating heavy and light vehicles.
• Managing ammunition and ensuring readiness of equipment.
• Participating in reconnaissance operations.
• Maintaining training and preparedness of the crew.
