Blick Art Materials in New York, NY is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead the store team and drive the customer experience. You will oversee daily operations, training, and inventory while partnering with the General Manager to strengthen relationships with artists and the local arts community.

Ideal candidates bring retail management experience, a track record of sales performance, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; college preferred but not required.
• At least one year of retail management experience or one year with Blick.
• Demonstrated superior sales performance throughout career.
• Computer literate, including Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Increase sales volume and uphold customer service standards.
• Train staff on and set experience standards in retail and framing.
• Provide customer service at the Custom Services desk.
• Assist the Custom Services production team as needed.
• Partner with the General Manager to build relationships with artists and art influencers.
