Job summary

Blick Art Materials, a long-standing leader in the American art supply industry, seeks an Assistant Manager to guide store teams in the Chicago market. You will help increase sales, uphold service standards, and strengthen customer relationships in a vibrant arts community.

You will train staff on framing, manage daily operations, and collaborate with the General Manager to engage artists and influencers while ensuring exceptional store performance and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of retail management experience.
• Demonstrated superior sales performance.
• Computer literate, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Supports multiple Blick stores in the Chicago market.
• Increase sales volume and uphold customer service standards; develop customer relationships.
• Train staff and set experience standards in retail and framing.
• Provide customer service at the Custom Services desk.
• Assist the Custom Services production team as needed.
• Partner with the General Manager to build relationships with artists and art influencers.
