Job summary

Blick Art Materials in Salt Lake City is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead the store team, drive sales, and uphold Blick’s customer service standards.

You will train and coach staff, supervise daily operations, manage inventory, and ensure safety and loss-prevention measures in a fast-paced retail environment.

Collaborate with the General Manager to strengthen relationships with local artists, educators, and galleries, while maintaining the store’s reputation for quality and service.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in retail management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with customers and staff.
• Ability to train and coach team members to meet service standards.

Responsibilities

• Increase sales volume and maintain customer relationships to position the store as a key arts community partner.
• Ensure high levels of customer experience by training on and setting service standards in retail and framing.
• Provide customer service at the Custom Services desk.
• Assist the Custom Services production team as needed.
• Partner with the General Manager to build and maintain relationships with key artists and art influencers.
