Job summary

Clovis Community College is establishing an applicant pool for part-time Art History instructors. The role supports a diverse student population and emphasizes equity-minded practices in teaching and service.

Successful candidates will contribute to a collaborative department and engage with students across multiple instructional modalities. Instructors may teach evening, weekend, online, and hybrid courses, with duties including syllabus provision, grading, and maintaining compliant records.

Qualifications

• Evidence of responsiveness to diverse student backgrounds and equity-minded practice.
• Ability to teach Art History courses and adapt to multiple instructional formats.
• Experience collaborating with faculty and staff to support student success.

Responsibilities

• Teach a part-time schedule of Art History courses as assigned.
• Use diverse pedagogies and technology for face‑to‑face, online, and/or hybrid formats.
• Communicate effectively with students, faculty and staff.
• Evaluate student progress with tests, assignments, and exams.
• Provide course syllabi to students and maintain records as required by policy.
• Submit grading and evaluation reports in a timely manner.
• Teach in varied settings including evenings, weekends, and off-campus dual enrollment.
• Fulfill duties per Administrative Regulation 7122 and other duties as assigned.
