Job summary

Work of Art Studios at College Greens in Sacramento, CA, seeks a Gallery and Workshop Coordinator to manage daily gallery and studio operations and to coordinate workshops, classes, and community events.

You will support sales, inventory, and artist payouts while creating welcoming experiences for visitors and contributing to social media and outreach efforts. Strong organization and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Arts Administration, Fine Arts, Business, Marketing, Event Management, or related field preferred.
• Two years of experience in gallery operations, event coordination, retail, arts administration, or related field preferred.
• Experience coordinating workshops, classes, events, or community programs preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Familiarity with social media, Adobe, and Canva.
• Ability to learn POS, inventory, and gallery management systems.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily gallery and studio operations and keep spaces welcoming, organized, and visitor-ready.
• Coordinate workshops, classes, exhibitions, receptions, open studios, and events.
• Manage registrations, memberships, attendance, supplies, and logistics.
• Support gallery sales, artwork inventory, pricing, displays, merchandising, and artist payouts.
• Create and restock art kits and provide basic instruction to customers.
• Provide exceptional customer service and help customers discover artwork and programs.
• Support artists in developing workplace and gallery skills.
• Assist with social media, marketing materials, and community outreach.
• Build relationships with community partners for exhibitions and events.
• Support seasonal gallery and window displays.
• Participate in Gallery Committee activities and training.
