Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant/Radiology Assistant to perform x-ray testing, manage patient flow, and support clinical operations. The role combines radiology responsibilities with general Medical Assistant duties in a busy urgent care setting.

The position requires a high school diploma, BLS certification, and a Tennessee X-ray license, with ARRT certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS Certification required.
• TN State X-Ray License required.
• ARRT Certification preferred.
• Experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly in waiting/exam/lab/x-ray areas.
• Communicate wait times and guide patients through treatment steps.
• Document vital signs, history, medications, allergies and relevant information.
• Assist with patient transfers and procedures under provider supervision.
• Perform radiology procedures and ensure radiation safety and shielding.
