Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas Urgent Care in Cookeville, TN seeks experienced radiology professionals to perform X-ray procedures and related medical assistant duties. The role requires ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Tech credentials and Tennessee X-Ray licensure, with a preference for ARRT certification.

The position is full-time with a rotating 36-40 hour week, including some weekends. Competitive benefits are provided, and prior Medical Assistant experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS Certification is required.
• TN State X-Ray License is required.
• ARRT Certification preferred.
• Experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promptly greet patients in waiting, exam, and x-ray rooms.
• Communicate wait times and guide patients through the treatment process.
• Perform radiology procedures with proper safety practices.
• Maintain documentation of patient visits and vitals.
• Ensure equipment is functioning and report malfunctions.
• Assist with patient transfers and related duties as supervised by providers.
