Job summary

Baptist Health Urgent Care in North Little Rock, AR is seeking experienced ARRT Radiology or Limited License X-Ray Techs to join our team. The role involves operating diagnostic imaging, patient positioning, and assisting with Medical Assistant duties in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Full-time team members work rotating 36-40 hour weeks with 12-hour shifts and weekend coverage; PRN options available. AR state X-Ray license and BLS are required, ARRT certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or accepted.
• BLS Certification required.
• AR State X-Ray License required.
• ARRT Certification preferred.
• Experience as a Medical Assistant is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly in the waiting area, exam room, and radiology suite.
• Communicate wait times and next steps clearly to patients.
• Identify and address patient issues, escalate urgent situations as needed.
• Perform follow-up calls with urgency and accuracy.
• Assist front desk with check-in/out when needed.
• Document vital signs, history, meds, allergies, and pertinent data.
• Assist with patient transfers and procedures under provider supervision.
• Maintain documentation procedures and complete visit-related records.
• Perform radiology procedures and ensure timely evaluation by the attending physician.
• Conduct quality control to ensure high-quality exams.
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures with radiation safety precautions.
• Ensure equipment is functioning and report malfunctions.
• Maintain and update diagnostic imaging knowledge with ongoing education.
• Maintain current licensure and certification for radiology equipment.
