Qualifications

• Possess at least one year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Possess a valid .40 caliber endorsement.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background checks and drug screening as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to transit agency personnel, passengers, contractors, and visitors while following site-specific security procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities and associated areas.
• Respond to incidents and alarms in a calm, professional manner per post orders and protocols.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity or security concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear reports on patrols and incidents and coordinate with law enforcement when directed.
