Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer (Full Time, Unarmed) in San Jose, CA to protect clients across multiple industries, including Tech/Media/Telecom. You will patrol, monitor access points, and respond to incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and communications.

This role requires reliable teamwork and adherence to post orders. The position offers full-time hours with a consistent evening schedule and a pay rate of $23.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• 18+ years for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required per state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a semiconductor technology location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of offices, manufacturing-adjacent areas, parking locations, building perimeters, and other areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization per site procedures, report concerns to staff.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities and communicate to site contacts and leadership.
