Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Houston, TX. The position offers reliable, fixed anchor shifts with optional extra shifts via the scheduling platform to boost earnings.

Pay rate is $22.00 per hour, with requirements including 21+ years of age, armed certification, and strong reliability. The job supports part‑time employment with the potential to scale to up to 40 hours per week and includes customer service, patrols, and incident response responsibilities

Qualifications

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and employees by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales areas, parking lots, loading areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain required documentation, including incident reports, daily activity logs, and patrol records, while handling assigned equipment in accordance with applicable policies.
