Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Houston, TX. The role offers flexible, anchor shifts with potential to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings. Pay rate is $22.00 per hour, with required armed certification and 21+ age.

Schedule includes daytime and evening shifts, and the position supports growth toward full-time employment. Responsibilities include customer service, conducting armed patrols, responding to incidents, and documenting activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security experience.
• Must hold a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Valid driver’s license and be 21+ for armed roles.
• Criminal background checks and drug screen as per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and team members while carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the grocery retail location, including sales floors, entrances, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter areas.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and other critical situations calmly and following site procedures.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and deter unauthorized activity with a professional presence.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity promptly and maintain armed-post qualifications and equipment.
