Job summary

MyMichigan Health is seeking a security professional to patrol between Midland and Bay City locations, respond to calls, monitor fire codes, and manage urgent incidents. The role includes assisting with patient transports and crisis management under supervision.

The position requires evaluating security incidents, coordinating with the Security Manager, and complying with hospital policies while providing a safe environment for staff and visitors.

Qualifications

• Must pass Security Defensive Tactics Training.
• Must pass taser and pepper gel training.
• Military, corrections or law enforcement experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts continuous random patrols by vehicle, bike or on foot.
• Responds to all calls from public, hospital staff and security dispatch.
• Monitors fire codes on the monitor system in security dispatch.
• Responds to hospital emergency overhead pages per security dispatch.
• Physically manages patients going through crisis as needed.
• Escorts patients to In Patient Mental Health or other areas as requested.
