Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer for a full-time role in Houston, TX. You will protect a retail location, conduct patrols, deter incidents, and help maintain a welcoming environment for customers and team members.

The position requires a Level III Armed Certification in Texas, you must be 21+, and you will undergo a background check and drug screening. Pay is $17.25 per hour and schedules include day and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.
• Valid driver's license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with store leadership and emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, hazards, and other security-related incidents according to site procedures.
• Maintain accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation while following applicable laws, regulations, and Allied Universal procedures.
