Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer (Part-Time) in Houston, TX. The role involves patrolling a retail location, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining security procedures. A valid Texas Level III Armed Certification, 21+ age, and a driver’s license are required.

The position offers flexible scheduling through our Claim a Shift platform, with pay at $22.00 per hour and opportunities for advancement within a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years armed security experience.
• Valid driver’s license required per Allied Universal policy.
• Texas Level III Armed Certification.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular armed patrols throughout the retail location including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and unauthorized access to deter theft, trespassing, and other security concerns.
• Maintain incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity records and communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
