Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer (Part-Time) in Houston, TX. You will patrol retail locations, deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to shoppers and staff.

Requirements include 21+ years of age, a Texas Level III Armed Certification, and an active armed guard license. A background check and drug screen are required; driving positions require a valid license. Schedule: Day/Evening shifts with weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old and able to work part-time.
• Active Armed Guard Card/License required.
• 3+ years combined law enforcement/corrections/military OR 5+ years armed security experience.
• Level III Armed Certification in Texas required.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may vary by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide security and customer service to clients, visitors, and store associates while following site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents calmly and professionally according to established protocols.
• Conduct regular armed patrols across retail locations, parking areas, and perimeters to deter incidents.
• Monitor access points, observe behavior, and report suspicious activity to relevant personnel.
• Maintain patrol and incident reports and other security documentation.
