Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is seeking an Armed Security Officer at a grocery retail location in Houston, TX. You will patrol, deter theft, respond to incidents, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining a visible, professional presence.

The role requires an Armed Guard Card, 3+ years in law enforcement/corrections/military or 5+ years armed security, and a valid Texas driver's license.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience.
• Or at least 5 years armed security experience.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Valid driver's license per Allied Universal policy.
• Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors at a retail location, following site policies.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store and parking areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and with proper procedures.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity to responsible personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain documentation of incidents and patrols.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors at a retail grocery location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter to help deter theft, trespassing, and other unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and applicable laws.
• Monitor access points, employee-only areas, and delivery activity; report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation regarding incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
