Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Licensed Patrol Driver in Houston, TX. In this full-time role, you will conduct armed patrols at a retail location, maintain a visible presence, and provide exceptional customer service while adhering to site policies and laws.

The position requires a Texas Level III Armed Certification, 3+ years in security or related fields, or 5+ years armed security, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of combined law enforcement/ military/ corrections experience or 5+ years armed security experience.
• Armed certification required (Texas Level III).
• 21+ years of age and valid driver’s license as per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors at the retail location; follow security procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of store, parking areas, docks, and perimeter to deter theft and unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and in line with procedures and laws.
• Monitor access points and deliveries; report suspicious activity and policy violations to supervisors.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain documentation of patrols and activities.

As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and team members. What You\'ll Do:

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors at a retail grocery location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter to help deter theft, trespassing, and other unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and applicable laws.
• Monitor access points, employee-only areas, and delivery activity; report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation regarding incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver\’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
