Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Armed Security Officer on Clay Rd in Houston, TX. You will protect clients across Retail/Malls and other sites, conduct patrols, and provide top-notch customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.

The role offers schedule flexibility via our shift-claim platform and requires an armed certification and valid Texas driver's license. You will join a team focused on integrity, collaboration, and community impact, with opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Hold a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Background check and drug screening may apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, vendors, and visitors by carrying out security procedures and policies.
• Monitor access points, loading areas, and store entrances to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow site procedures, notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct armed patrols throughout the retail location and perimeter, reporting unusual conditions.
• Prepare clear reports of incidents and patrol activities for Allied Universal leadership.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Sat: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, vendors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, loading areas, and store entrances to help support authorized access and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, parking areas, and perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Hold a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
