Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer for a retail store location in Houston, Texas. The role involves patrolling, responding to incidents, and ensuring safety and customer service within a retail environment.

The position requires 3+ years of combined law enforcement/corrections/military or 5+ years armed security experience, Level III Armed Certification in Texas, and a valid driver’s license. Typical hours include a daytime and evening schedule with weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees by carrying out security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances in a calm, professional manner coordinating with leadership and emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular armed patrols throughout retail areas, parking lots, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Verify authorized access at entry points and document incidents and patrols accurately.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with store leadership and emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales areas, receiving areas, parking lots, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, delivery areas, and employee entrances; verify authorized access in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and report security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
