Job summary

Allied Universal in Houston, TX is seeking an Armed Security Officer for a retail location. You will conduct armed patrols, monitor entrances, and provide exceptional customer service while safeguarding assets.

This full-time driving post requires a valid driver’s license, Texas Level III Armed Certification, and a 21+ age minimum; you’ll join a team committed to integrity and teamwork.

Qualifications

Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security experience.
A valid driver’s license is required per Allied Universal policy.
Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Background check and drug screen as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, customers, and employees by following site procedures and responding to emergencies.
Conduct armed patrols of store interior, exterior, parking areas, and perimeter to deter security concerns.
Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
Monitor access points, observe activity, and report suspicious behavior to site contacts or law enforcement.
Document patrols and incidents in required reports with accuracy.
